10. December 2024

Venjue now integrates with users’ scheduling systems, allowing employees to be assigned to events and receive relevant information directly through their shifts in systems like Planday and Workfeed. But we’ve been busy, and we’re also introducing integrations with users’ table booking systems, such as resOS and easytable. This ensures no double bookings occur if an à la carte dining area in a restaurant is also used as a party venue. More integration partners are on the way for those who don’t use the aforementioned scheduling or table booking systems.

We’ve focused on improving existing functionalities, fixing bugs, and making some smaller additions, mainly:

  • Google Analytics in the widget, so it is now possible to track users on your website who open, cancel, or submit an enquiry to Venjue
  • The ability to set a language for a booking that differs from the account language. Email templates, offer materials, and more are automatically adjusted to the customer's language
  • The ability to confirm a booking internally; meaning without awaiting the customer's approval of the offer, if the approval has been given in some other way
  • New financial overview with info on offers sent, confirmed bookings, deposit payments, and payouts on the way to the user's bank

Venjue now integrates seamlessly with Billy. Payments are automatically logged in your journal, while order confirmations are instantly converted into draft invoices for streamlined bookkeeping. This integration ensures your financial records are always up-to-date, saving time and reducing manual input errors, so you can focus on planning exceptional events.

We couldn’t take the entire summer off, so we’ve focused on improving existing functionalities, fixing bugs, and making some smaller additions — which we hope will make the fall even better for Venjue users. The main updates include:

  • Updated overview of changes for bookings that give more in-depth info of the changes made
  • Customers' direct email responses are now machine-read and fed into the relevant booking, so it is no longer necessary to respond through the offer
  • Updated notifications overview and settings for which of those should be sent as a copy via email
  • Additional statistics have been added to the Dashboard, particularly regarding message response times and conversion from offers to confirmed events

Venjue now includes a dedicated settings pane for managing email templates. Users can define templates for specific actions, such as responding to inquiries, confirming bookings, or sending prepayment reminders. Templates support placeholders for dynamic data like customer name, event date, or prepayment amount, ensuring personalized and accurate communication. While templates streamline workflows, users retain flexibility by being able to edit them on the fly before sending. This feature simplifies communication, saves time, and ensures consistency in messaging.

Not an April Fools'! We've made some additions that are focusing on the guest this time. For isntance, we've included in this update an improved customer overview, added feedback collection, and launched some nice features that improve our users’ customers’ experience...

  • Venjue now automatically sends an email on the business's behalf, that asks the customer to rate their experience
  • Venjue now features an enhanced customer overview designed to help you track and manage recurring customers with ease. The database stores associated notes, remarks, and the customers experience. Track the revenue generated from each customer’s visits and gain access to feedback from previous events
  • It is now possible to change what actions the customer can take when interacting with the guest list and floorplan for their event — invite them in, without creating unneccesary chaos
  • The customer can now upload a guest list from a Facebook event or elsewhere, and be ready to seat on the floorplan in no time!

We're introducing more improvements to existing functionalities, like we usually do with our “General Improvements“ updates, like for an example improvements to the calendar and venue availability — but we also have a few news to introduce, namely the new “Focus” feature!

  • Venjue now helps you prioritize what matters most with the new “Focus” feature, highlighting bookings requiring immediate attention, such as missed deadlines, overdue payments, upcoming meetings or many other important factors that are algorithmically weighed to determine what is most pertinent to focus on to secure the most bookings and payments, but also customer satisfaction
  • The calendar has been enhanced with filtering and tags; filter by assigned venues, customized tags for bookings (also filterable in the calendar) with colors and names
  • Faster navigation between dates in the calendar, since it is now possible to leap forward and back by month and years rather than only going back and forward from the current view
  • New overview of venues and their availability by timeslots rather than dates, making it more feasable to sell more than one event per venue per date, if the capacity supports it

We're introducing an overhaul and rework of our “Floorplan & guestlist“ tool, making it even easier to design floorplans and optimize the planning of venue configurations, while making it much more user friendly. Create custom table configurations and design venue layouts tailored to each booking. Adjust layouts to meet the specific needs of events, assign guests to seats with remarks, allergens and more. Perfect for creating visually organized and professional seating arrangements for weddings, conferences, or any grand occasion.

This update has been a long time coming, and will also be the last major addition before christmas. Venjue now seamlessly integrates with Denmark’s leading accounting software. The new functionalities are planned to work with other accounting programs in the future, but the first partner is e-conomic, which is the favorite among our users. The new functionalities are:

  • Payments are automatically registered in the cash journal on e-conomic, with debit and credit postings, attachments, etc.
  • Order confirmations are transferred to e-conomic and created as invoice drafts for easy bookkeeping with the offer as an attachment
This integration ensures that your financial data is always up to date, saves time, and reduces the risk of errors, so you can focus on planning amazing events.

2. August 2023

Streamline your booking process by packaging dishes and beverages into menus. Venjue’s new feature allows you to quickly assign pre-configured menus to bookings, saving time and ensuring consistency. Each menu can include seasonal availability, making it easy to align your offerings with ingredients’ availability, like fresh strawberries for a dessert. Additionally, allergens are automatically defined per menu, ensuring that important dietary details are prominently displayed on the BEO.

Status for a sent offer is now included, along with automatic reminders sent to the customer asking them to confirm their offer. A settings pane has been created that allows for customizing the confirmation deadline and the content of the reminder. If the customer doesn't confirm in time, users of Venjue will be made aware of this and have the option to resend or cancel the offer.

We're launching a few clever changes to the booking process meant to ensure a faster and more enjoyable experience when working with offers and bookings in Venjue. Features like auto-save functionality, “undo changes“ and more is available for all users after thorough testing:

  • For every change to a booking, the change will be automatically saved, virtually eliminating the risk of lost work with power failures or internet downtime
  • Any changes made to a booking, regardless of the state of confirmation, will be logged and kept available with the user that made the change, a timestamp and description of the change
  • If an offer has been sent to the customer, and changes were made afterwards, Venjue will make the user aware of this and that a new offer is required; the user can either resend with the changes applied, or revert back to the previously agreed upon legally binding booking

We’ve made it even easier to integrate Venjue’s inquiry widget into your website! With our new WordPress plugin, you can add the widget to your site with just one click—no coding required. With close to half of the world's websites running on Wordpress, and around 80 % of Venjue's users, it just makes sense. Capture leads directly from your website and have them flow seamlessly into Venjue for streamlined management. Simplify your workflow and ensure no potential customer slips through the cracks.

Introducing custom form fields, “drag & drop“ functionality, exportable PDF documents, timeline and more to elevate your booking process!

  • Venjue now allows you to create tailored form fields to capture specific information critical to your workflow. These fields can be integrated directly into your booking process, ensuring your team remembers essential details. Optionally, these fields can also appear on your inquiry widget, enabling your customers to provide relevant information right from the start.
  • Dishes, beverages and other products can now be rearranged by simply using “drag & drop“ to change order, group them and tie a beverage to a dish
  • By clicking »Export«, and choosing between BEO, Floorplan & Guestlist or offer/confirmation, it is now possible to export to a PDF document
  • New timeline functionality to create the booking's agenda; with settings for what is visible to the customer, or only an internal entry, along with timestlo and remarks

22. May 2022

First edition of Venjue is launched after a longer beta testing phase in cooperation with select partners of the event industry. Internally referred to as Venjue 2.0, due to us having added more than double the lines of code since Venjue's conception. This marks Venjue's official 1st birthday, since it is precisely a year ago we founded the company.
